- About Me:
- Cheryl Baumgartner is a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist and retired Communications Officer with the Valparaiso FL Police Department.
During her time with the police department she gained certification from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) as an operator/user of the NCIC (National Crime Information Center Network)
She also gained FDLE certifications as a local instructor responsible for certifying other communications officers and also as the Terminal Agency Coordinator for the department responsible for insuring that her agency complied with both FBI and FDLE policies and procedures.
In addition to her state certifications, She served as her department's representative on the Okaloosa County 911 Steering Committee to improve 911 services in the county and as the agency trainer and liasion with the Florida Interoperability network, dedicated to improving communications between all emergency responder agencies statewide.
She is a past member of The Association of Public Safety Communications Officials International (APCO).
She is currently a Member of The National Hispanic Professionals Organization (NHPO)
She has provided training workshops on identity theft for:
The Oasis Foundation
Several Senior Citizens retirement communities
Several Apartment Complexes and Management companies

- I have several and they all have the same goal although they may go about it in different ways.
The Northwest Florida Ballet Academie and Guardian Angel Performance Arts Academy both work toward educating children through the arts. Kid's Hope USA partners churches with elementary schools to provide mentors for at risk children. All three of the charities have the same ultimate goal, to help out children grow into educated and responsible adluts.

Back to school means Back to Zero Tolerance Policies for your child.
Zero tolerance policies have become the standard in our schools. While the spirit behind them is admirable, the application of these policies leave something to be desired.
