This video is a news report that was aired about a young mother, Anndorie Sachs, accused of giving birth to a "crack baby". Someone stole and used her medical information to give birth and Mrs Sachs was left with medical bills, an altered medical record, and Child Protective Services threatening to remove her children simply because she was a victim.

This shows the hidden danger of Identity theft

There are five types of Identity theft we need to worry about. Victims often experience more than one type.

Financial-
This is the type we all recognize thanks to all the funny commercials Citibank put out a couple of years ago. This type of Identity theft includes Credit card fraud, Mortgages and loans taken out in your name Bankruptcies etc

Criminal
Identity Thieves commit crimes in your name

Driver's License
Using your information to get a driver's license or giving the police your information during a traffic stop

Social Security Number
Using you social security number for any purpose up to an including hijacking your SSI benefits

Medical
Using your name or Insurance benefits to get treatment. This type can cause actual physical danger to you through altered medical records.

As you can see there's a lot here that people don't know about. Knowledge is power and I intend to drop a lot of it here.
